Letter from the President

Since 1964, Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children has been the state affiliate for the National Association for the Education of Young Children.  Indiana AEYC over the last fifty-two years has relentlessly pursued of our mission – to support and promote quality care and education for all young children, birth through age eight, in Indiana.

Why? Because the greatest societal obstacles—from school dropout rates, to crime and rising healthcare costs, to our challenges competing in the global marketplace—can be addressed by focusing on the quality of care and education children receive from birth to age eight.

Every day, Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children in partnership with our members is demonstrating effective solutions that are putting our most valuable asset –young children on the path to success in school and in life.

Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children can’t achieve its vision without the support of our members, the  public and private sector, and an educated public who recognize and support young children.

Please consider participating in our efforts in the following ways.

Kresha Warnock,

Gatchel </span>pictureI want to express my sincere gratitude to you for making the T.E.A.C.H scholarship possible.  I recently graduated with honors from Saint Mary’s of-the-Woods College with a Bachelors Degree. My degree will help me in meeting the needs of the children that are enrolled in my all day preschool. It also shows parents that by enrolling their child in my facility that their child’s educational needs are being met by a qualified teacher.  My accomplishment of graduating from college is also a testimony to others that it is never too late to go after your dreams. The financial assistance you provided allowed me to concentrate more of my time on my studies.  As a result, I received the Future Outstanding Educator award from the Indiana Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.  I was also a recipient of the Kappa Gamma Pi St. Catherine Medal. Thank you T.E.A.C.H Early Childhood® INDIANA for your generosity and support!
